Mark + Brianna :: The Open Sky E-Shoot

Hey lovely people. I am back with a sizzling hot, fresh off the light-room, blog post. Its been a while since i last blogged and am super excited to be back.

Meet Brianna and Mark, two lovebirds that are just amazing and in love from the heavens to the earth and back.  I met Mark back in February at a wedding at the Crowne Plaza and we struck a friendship. Months later her called me up and asked if i could shoot his wedding and i obliged. I suggested they should have an engagement shoot too and they obliged.

Below is an excerpt of how they met . . . and you can read more of it here at their wedding’s blog.

“Bri moved into a house in the Kilimani neighborhood of Nairobi in October 2010. Though they lived just two blocks from each other and frequented the same coffee shops, the two didn’t meet until six months later, at a home group meeting of Karen Vineyard church.”

So on the 1st of October, 2013 we hit the rooftop of the KICC for the E-shoot. It was my first time up there and i must say that if you are afraid of heights, that is not the place for you :). However if you fancy a picturesque view of Nairobi City, then this is a vantage point. They only charge 150 for locals to go up there.

Let’s get into the business of the e-shoot now and i hope you enjoy it as much as i did.

Location :: KICC Rooftop Nairobi

Lighting Assistant :: Kate

DSC_1274To start off, i asked them to do a bit of their own posing, just to get them relaxed. It’s not so easy is it . . . πŸ˜€

DSC_1275But they learned very fast . . . In the background is their families who were not to be left out of the shoot.

DSC_1281Do not ask me what Mark was doing . . . only he knows.

DSC_1282And finally they breathed in and relaxed. It was time to fire away now.

DSC_1283Bri know how to put a smile on her man πŸ™‚

DSC_1285Hi Fashion poses from the lovely couple.

DSC_1291

DSC_1294Arguably the shot of the day . . . Love was in the air.

DSC_1303The smiles tell it all.

DSC_1305

DSC_1306A shoot is never complete without some cheekiness and these two are pros at that.

DSC_1308

DSC_1311I forgot to mention that we did this shoot in the midday sun. Naturally that is the worst time for photography. God just favored us very much.

DSC_1319Now do not for even a minute think that those glasses were for their eyes; no, they were to protect me from the awesomeness of the love that was radiating from their eyes :D.

DSC_1321Someone cracked a joke; i just cannot seem to remember what it was.

DSC_1322And the family was not to be left out of the photos.

DSC_1352Here is Bri with her sister, who is also the Maid of Honor at her wedding, and her two friends whom are her Bridesmaids.

DSC_1364Mark with his younger brother, Steve, who is his best man too..

DSC_1383Back to the couple, i caught them staring at the magnificent view of the city.

DSC_1386And they got cosy . . .

DSC_1388I especially loved these set of photos πŸ™‚

DSC_1392

DSC_1395

DSC_1401And what Mark could do, Bri could most certainly match πŸ˜€ . . .

DSC_1405With that pop of the leg we called it a wrap on the shoot; twas time to head down to the South Coast for their wedding. I have decided to give you a sneak preview of what to expect with some breathtaking images below.

DSC_1508I had to wake up at 5am to get this beautiful sunrise. It was well worth my sleep.

DSC_1536We have a really beautiful country good people. Save up and take some time off to visit these places.

DSC_1542

DSC_1739I kid you not, this is Kenya.

DSC_2231And there you have it. I hope you enjoyed this post and please look out for their wedding in the next few weeks. It is simply amazing. Thanks for dropping by and please leave your comments here; do not keep them to yourself :D. God bless you.
