Hi folks. Happy New 2014 to all you wonderful people. I trust that you are all doing great and that the new year has brought good tidings your way. I am great too. I have loads of stuff and great photos to share with you from December of last year so please look out for them in the coming weeks.
December 2013 was the most exciting month for me, with great road trips and numerous challenges. In that month too I also got a new photographer into the firm, a Lady – Jacquie Mwai, and soon she is going to give me a run for my money ;). I also started wearing spectacles… too much time on the computer editing photos. 😀
January 2014 came with its challenges; I had to let go of a painful tooth, so no meat for me for a while. This is however going to be a great year because God is with us all and whatever you ask of Him in diligence you shall receive.
Enough of the sermon… I welcome you to the blog with the first entry in 2014 with an excerpt from a wedding that i had the privilege of shooting besides Ben Kiruthi. It was spectacular to put it modestly, because I would run out of superlatives if I was to attempt to describe it entirely. Enjoy the images.
The word “Selfie” was the most popular word in 2013 according to Oxford Dictionaries, and the guys made sure that that fact remained true. The amount of details that was at this wedding was astounding, I had a field day covering those tiny, little details. Sammy looked sharp. I loved this shot of the shoes 🙂 Remember the post of “The Man in that Wedding“? No knife, no problem. A razor will do.This is the reason why knives are needed by the gentlemen in the mornings at a wedding. A reflection shot never gets old… The details were just breath-taking. You know me and cakes so don’t say nothing 🙂 A sneak peek of the feast ahead… I know what you are thinking now… The cake again. Finally the groom came in with his best man in tow. And the patience game started. Spectacular watch. Here comes the bride finally. Caption this yourself. The bride’s sister and wedding planner. Time for the vows. It’s a sweaty moment and Juliet was at hand to help his man calm down the nerves. Juliet was a radiant bride. Rings ready. He was calm now and he did his job well. She matched him too. The legal part was next. A short, precise and to the point sermon. Intoxicating smiles. Remember the menu earlier… 😉 After the feast it was time to party… And make new friends. Lovely ladies. Fast forward to the first dance. Juliet and Sammy got their groove on. Soon we had to leave but the party went on. Congratulations to Juliet and Sammy. May God bless their marriage and bind them in love forever after.
