Who does a wedding on a Wednesday?
Hi folks. Its been a minute or two, or three since I last posted but I am back with a sweet sweet post. Even I have been waiting and longing for this blog entry. It will be an unconventional post; much different from what you are used to. The focus is entirely on the bride and groom as I share their love story with you.
Last year in December I got an email asking me if I was available to shoot a wedding on a Wednesday. My first reaction was “Who does a wedding on a Wednesday?”. The answer is, Laura and Ed. It takes guts to do a wedding on a Friday let alone a Wednesday; so until the day I met Laura, I still couldn’t believe that their wedding was right at the middle of the week.
This wedding was an amazing experience for me. It was not only my first wedding to have a second shooter working with me but it was to become a pathway to greater days ahead for me. That is why I took a bit too long to feature it here because I was not sure of how to present it. In the end, the images were spectacular; the wedding, amazing. I will mention that it was a rainy day but you will be hard pressed to notice it. These two lovebirds made it look like it was a 40 degrees day with clear blue skies. 😀
I have met numerous couples over the past few years that I have been shooting weddings but this couple stood out in many ways for me. The bride especially was just fun to be around. I did not even have to pose her; everywhere me and my camera turned to, she was there – smiling radiantly. The church ceremony had the feel of a party; something I have never experienced before especially in a Catholic church.
Before I forget, the bride’s dress is up for hire if you fancy it. Email me at email@example.com for her contacts.
So sit back and enjoy part one of this love story; it is epic, it is fun. Enjoy!!!
