If a wedding could be turned into a movie, then the following blog post would have grossed millions by now and the Oscars would be knocking on its doors and this blog post would be its release maybe on DVD. It was grand, unique, spectacular and I am running out of superlatives; possibly the best wedding I have attended so far this year.
Welcome to my 37th Blog Post. If you are not new to my blog, this will be more of a sequel to The Million & Question than the regular posts. Yes I carried my sweet, awesome, great looking babe – my camera – to the wedding. I also got the privilege of shooting besides two other great photographers, Allan Gichigi and Mwarv Kirubi.
This is a conundrum for fellow photographers and camera enthusiasts; How do 2 Canon Die-Hard photographers have two-thirds of their wedding shot with Nikon? Life can be so unfair at times. 😀 😀 😀
I don’t normally do African wear but I went all out for this wedding. It’s what you do when its a close friend, and in this case friends, who are getting hitched. Shooting a wedding is pressure enough (ask me); Shooting a Friend’s wedding is extreme pressure; Shooting a wedding where the bride and groom are wedding photographers is… I’m sure you have the picture I am trying to paint. This is Faith and Ben’s Wedding in all its splendor.
I picked out a couple of photos that I really liked and I hope you will love them too. For a minute I had contemplated captioning the photos in Swahili but it just evaporated – I am not even going to caption them – ok just a few. :D. Enjoy!
The reason I loved this Decor so much is that as a couple you can actually get to carry home your Decor… COOL!!! Niaje msupa! Si tutoke teke teke juu hii story imeivana. They shared their first meal together; guess who ate the bigger piece! Pizza is apparently very good for a bridal party before shooting. These gentlemen look well fed. Allan Gichigi was kind enough to let them get a sneak peek; I am very mean with sneak peeks. The bride’s mom. Fellow Photogs. Can someone spot my small sister somewhere. Don’t be asking me why I was not in there; you wouldn’t have gotten this photo if I was. Chapo kila siku… wazi! The coke side of life. Lets show them what we got babe! Faith surrendered… She had no idea up until now that Ben knew how to play air guitar. Kate and Simon doing their thing. I swear I have never danced this much in my life; in my mind and heart that is. On the 1s and 2s…
Kuzeeka ni mbaya aki… I could only shoot and behold. The Kiruthis’ with the Millionaires’. Saving the last dance for each other, the love birds took to the floor. I Just had to end with these two images 😀
God bless the Kiruthi’s and may God enrich their marriage with love, joy and kids, and every single blessing that God has in store for them.
Apparently there is now a Ten Million $ Question that is going round. Someone ask me one more time when I am getting married and you’ll see how its gonna go down Tyler Perry style.
Thanks for dropping by blessed people; have a favor full April as you remember that Christ died for you and There is no condemnation now for those who live in union with Christ Jesus. 😉
