Jane + Dennis || Engagement Sunday

kenyan-wedding-photographer, matt masha, shooting an engagement in Nairobi

On most early Sunday mornings I am usually getting ready to attend mass at my lovely A.C.K. Emmanuel Church in Karuri; that is unless I am globe-trotting or for the first time – shooting an engagement session.

Welcome to the sweetest engagement shoot I ever saw. By the time I am posting this, Jane and Dennis are husband and wife and already away on their honeymoon. Their wedding was legendary and I cannot wait to share the lovely images with you in the coming weeks.

It is true that the earliest bird catches the fattest worm, but I can also add that the earliest photographer catches the softest light from the sun. ALL images were shot in natural light ;).

Since I will not be captioning these images, I will give you a  brief overview of how it went down. I can attest that we had to rise early, and thanks to almighty God there was no traffic in the city and the weather was just perfect. We had breakfast with them at a Cafe I am not allowed to name, then we took a walk in the park (the Nairobi Arboretum) and finally attended the church service at Mamlaka Hill Chapel of which they are both members.

I think these lovebirds were models in another life because I barely spoke through the entire shoot. My assistant Kate hardly did anything – apart from carrying my bag 😀 – she just laid back and enjoyed the show. Probably because Jane booked me for this 14 months in advance :D.

So just like Kate did, please enjoy the show :).

Jane and Dennis have chosen that path and I wish them all the best in their marriage.

The wedding was one of a kind; they outdid the engagement shoot by miles, so keep on the look out for that post.

Thank you for dropping by; may the almighty God bless you.
