Dinham Resort Gardens have become a sort of favorite destination for shooting weddings for me. The place is beautiful and has well manicured, lush lawns surrounded by plush tea estates. The environment is beautiful and whenever they have functions, you will find streams flowing through the gardens and waterfalls cascading down well landscaped rocks. Last but not least of the reasons why I love this venue is owing to the fact that it is literally in my backyard so I get to sleep in a bit more when I have to shoot a wedding there and I get home very fast when the wedding is over :D.
And it is at this lovely getaway that my latest blog post gets its life. Meet Amara and Lenny and welcome to their wedding day as was seen through my eyes and captured by my Nikon mate.
My sleeping patterns have been disrupted and rearranged over the past one month. Now that the World Cup is over, I am trying to get back to my earlier set of sleeping rules. I tried to blog yesterday night but the game was too nerve-wracking for me to concentrate.
There is something magical about being booked way in advance when you are a wedding photographer. Being Booked early ensures that there is room for me to become friends with the bride and groom before their wedding day; and that in turn means that the wedding is no longer just a job for me but it also becomes an event that is very important to me.
In Amara and Lenny I have 2 great friends and it was an honor to shoot their wedding. The good Lord gave us a wonderful day, great weather and lots of awesome photos. I have also linked their wedding trailer herein which was skilfully done by Mark and Samuel from Berea Productions.
I was in a dilemma on what to blog and what to leave out. At the end of the day, simplicity ruled. Here is an excerpt of the beautiful nuptials. Jacquie Mwai was kind enough to help me out on this noble task. A big shout out to my trusty assistant Kate, God bless you for all you do for us :).
