“Trash the Dress”, also known as “Fearless Bridal” or “Rock the Frock”, is a style of wedding photography that contrasts elegant clothing with an environment in which it is out-of-place. It is generally shot in the style of fashion or glamour photography. Such photography often takes place on a beach, but other locations include city streets, rooftops, garbage dumps, fields, and abandoned buildings. A Trash the Dress event may effectively ruin the dress in the process by either getting it wet, dirty, or, in extreme circumstances, tearing or destroying the garment :D.
If you as a couple are particularly shy in front of a gawking crowd, or you do not have time to shoot photos of just the two of you, on your wedding day, then a Trash the Dress is especially for you and you should invest in it.
Miriam and Lenny had a humongous bridal team which was really fun to work with and shoot; so much so that we had no time left to shoot just the two of them on their wedding day. The good thing is that we had already planned an after-shoot way before the wedding day.
On a lazy Sunday afternoon I found them busking in the sun sipping on freshly squeezed juices at the Sarova Panafric. It also happens to be the same venue where Lenny has popped the Big Q months ago.
I am recently being mean with the amount of images I share from a shoot and I will carry the tradition herein too :D. But I also kept my promise of blogging this Friday thanks to my new blog manager ;). Tomorrow I have an epic wedding to attend where we will be making statements without saying a word with my good friends and fellow photogs and where Nikon & Canon meet again to Explore. Create. Inspire.
Here is an excerpt of the two hours we spent with Miriam and Lenny. Enjoy :).
I hope you enjoyed this post however brief it was. Thank you for dropping by and I wish you a lovely weekend. God bless you.
